Ayse wins a Bronze at Cannes à la Flip (MUBI Garage)

Our lovely Ayse Altinok picked up a bronze award for her short firlm Youth a the Cannes Flip à la Flip.


She won this award after enterting her 7 min short film

Hortum in the Short Film Corner in the Cannes Film Festival. From 600 films, Hortum was selected to a special program called “Coup de Coeur” to be screened in the palais with another 20 films curated by Danny Lennon.


During Cannes Film Festival, MUBI (previously called The Auteurs) opened a competition for all the short filmmakers who made in the Short Film Corner. They gave filmmakers a FLIP camera and asked them to make a 1 minute pitch first. There, Ayse Altinok shoot the short film “YOUTH” on the spot and won the third price. It is a 45 sec film with the short synopsis:
